About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Financial Planning Assistant/Paraplanner to be part of the Wealth team. The success candidate will be passionate, client centric and an excellent communicator. In this role you will be responsible for providing ongoing administration support to the Financial Planners and CEO as well as offering high levels of client care. You will be involved in the preparation and implementation of financial plans and build relationships with our clients and senior staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

Some of the duties and responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparation of Record of advice and no advice documents
  • Paraplanning from simple insurance only SOA’s to complex SOA’s with multiple strategies
  • Ensuring all advice documentations are accurate, professionally presented with relevant attachments
  • Preparing for appointments, planning presentations and completing reviews
  • Ensure compliance of all advice documents
  • Developing quality relationships with clients and assisting in their financial planning process
  • Assisting the Financial Planners to develop relevant strategies through research
  • Preparing and presenting SOA’s and ROA’s for and to our clients through our developed software systems
  • Manage client information, files, notes in our various data and software programs
  • Liaising with clients, insurers, investment and superannuation providers to provide efficient services
  • Perform general administration tasks and client service when required
  • Assist in the implementation of strategies and completion and/or lodgement of applications once advise is presented

Skills and Abilities

To be considered for the Financial Planning Assistant/Paraplanner role, you will possess the following:

  • Understanding of technical and compliance guidelines
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work autonomously
  • Previous experience in similar role preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to handle a workload to meet deadlines
