Housekeeper/Cleaner for Residence in Maitland
We are a busy family based in Maitland, in need of a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to manage and maintain our home to the highest standards. This is a private employment opportunity ideal for someone who is reliable, highly organised, and capable of working independently.
The Housekeeper/Cleaner will be responsible for an extensive range of tasks that include but are not limited to cleaning, laundry, ironing, meal preparation, and grocery shopping. The candidate must possess a mature and positive attitude, coupled with exceptional attention to detail.
Duties include the below, but not limited to.
Comprehensive Household Cleaning:
- Vacuuming and mopping all floors
- Dusting furniture and fixtures
- Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers, and sinks
- Kitchen cleaning including dishes and appliance exteriors
- Window cleaning, both interior and exterior
- Patio and outdoor area maintenance
- Carpet cleaning and stain removal
- Polishing wood surfaces and silverware
- Washing, ironing, and folding clothes and linens
- Seasonal wardrobe organisation
- Planning and preparing meals
- Cooking and food storage
- Kitchen inventory management
- Weekly grocery shopping based on meal plans
- Pantry and fridge organisation
- Ad-hoc Tasks:
- Running errands
- Accepting and storing deliveries
- Pet care
- Deep cleaning projects such as spring cleaning
- House Hold Maintenance
Qualifications and Skills
- Experience: Prior experience as a housekeeper in a private residence or a 5-star hotel is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail is mandatory.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organisational skills are essential for managing a variety of tasks efficiently.
- Confidentiality: Must maintain a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Transport: Possession of a NSW Driver’s Licence and own vehicle is mandatory.
Working Hours, Location, and Compensation
- Location: The position is based in Maitland.
- Working Hours: The role requires a commitment of 30 hours per week, spread over 5 days from Monday to Friday. Each workday will consist of a 6-hour shift.
- Rate: $35 to $38 per hour + Super
- Leave Entitlements – Annual & Sick Leave.
- Employment Type: Part-Time
